How to split and merge PDF files using Apex All in One PDF Tools?
A: There are few steps to use All in One PDF Tools are described below. Follow these steps to use this application.
Step 1: Add your PDF files with browse button visible on top right side of the interface and select one of the following options.
I). Split into Single Pages: Split large PDF files into single pages according to specified pages.
II). Split into Page Range: Split PDF files into single pages or set of several pages according to specified pages.
III). Make a Single PDF: Merge multiple PDF files or specified pages and make a single PDF.
IV). Make Individual PDFs: Merge specified pages and make individual PDF files.
V). Delete Pages and Make Single PDF: Delete specified pages from PDF and make a single PDF.
VI). Delete Pages and Make Individual PDFs: Delete specified pages from PDF and make an individual PDF files.
VII). Extract Pages: Extract specified pages from PDF as single page PDF.
VIII). Extract pages and Make single PDF: Extract specified pages form PDF and make a single PDF.
IX). Extract pages and Make Individual PDFs: Extract specified pages from PDF and make individual PDF files.
X). Two Pages on One Page and Make Single PDF: Merge two specified page on single page and make a single PDF.
XI). Two Pages on One Page and Make Individual PDFs: Merge two specified page on single page and make an individual PDF files.
XII). Combine or Compare: Combine every pages of two different PDF on a single page to compare and make new PDF.
XIII). Change Page Size: Change size of PDF pages as per your need and make a new PDF.
XIV). Change Meta PDF Properties: Change Title, Author, Subject and Keywords of PDF files and make a new PDF document.
XV). Password Protect: Provide protection to your documents from unauthorized access with an encrypted password security.
XVI). Watermark: Apply watermark on PDF files.
XVII). Bookmark: Provides bookmark to each and every desired PDF document page.
Step 2: Apply settings as per your requirement. Tool has option to enter specific pages for all the listed PDF files individually. Also enter the password for password protected PDF files on the column of 'Password' displays on below screen. You can also Drag and Drop PDF files to add on the list.
a) For first 12 options i.e Split into Single Pages, Split into Page Range, Make a Single PDF, Make Individual PDFs, Delete Pages and Make Single PDF, Delete Pages and Make Individual PDFs, Extract Pages, Extract pages and Make Single PDF, Extract Pages and Make Individual PDFs, Two Pages on One Page and Make Single PDF, Two Pages on One Page and Make Individual PDFs and Combine or Compare have below setting screen. This setting screen having 3 options described below.
a.1) Fixed Page Range: Enter the fixed page range for all the listed PDF documents.
a.2) Specific Pages: Enter specific single pages or set of pages separated by commas (,) for all the listed PDF documents. Spaces are not allowed in page numbers. For eg., 1,3,5-10,20
a.3) Odd/Even Pages: Enter Odd/Even page range for all the listed PDF documents.
b) For Change Page Size option, below setting screen will appear. With this option, change the page orientation and page size with known paper size or custom size.
c) For Change PDF Meta Properties option, below setting screen will appear. Title, Author, Subject and Keywords are changed by this option. All fields are optional.
d) For Password Protect option, below setting screen will appear. Enter User password and Owner Password. User must have to enter any of these two fields. This provides unauthorized access.
e) For Watermark option, below setting screen will appear. Set the Watermark Text, Font, Font Style, Watermark Option, Font Size, Font Color, Position (Fixed or Custom) and Watermark Angle.
f) For Bookmark option, below setting screen will appear. Set Root Title, Sub Title, Individual Title for all pages, Bookmark Title and Page numbers.
Step 3: Finally you can do your task by clicking 'Take Action' button. One more option is available before clicking button i.e., Add Prefix and Suffix with resultant file name. This is an optional field. You can use this option for better file naming.
